Aren’t electricity rates going to go down?
Issues with electricity are long term and systemic. There must be fundamental change to the generation and delivery of electric energy or we will continue to see this see-saw approach to pricing where the demand charges are increased when energy prices drop and vice versa. Your New World Power representative will review the 15- year pricing history and walk you through the details you will need to make the most appropriate decision for you organization.

Will I incur any Out-Of-Pocket expense?
No. New World builds, owns, operates, fuels, and maintains each system. Your only expense is your monthly energy bill to pay for the energy you are purchasing from the system at an agreed upon rate; either a fixed price, or at a discount to your utility rates.

What is the size of the DG system?
Most units are roughly 8’ long x 4’ wide x 6’ tall, and can be sited on the ground, on the roof, or in your basements/lower levels. Some installations may require more than one unit, but generally the entire system can be situated on roughly two parking spaces worth of area.

Will I be disconnected from the utility?
No. Each system is equipped with utility approved paralleling equipment and switchgear required to operate in parallel with the utility system.

What happens if the system breaks down?
You won’t notice any difference. The utility immediately picks up the difference and your entire load will continue to be met.

Are emissions a problem?
No. We use only those systems that have passed the permitting requirements of South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), generally regarded as the most stringent in the nation.

Is noise an issue?
No. The systems produce less noise than your existing HVAC system.

How will the system be maintained?
The system is entirely New World Power's responsibility. That includes the maintenance, fueling, and operation of each DG system installed. We "over" maintain each of the systems, not only to ensure we are delivering the energy promised, but to protect and prolong the life our asset as well. Each New World system contains state of the art wireless communication equipment and is monitored continuously from remote locations. Preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to, and immediate attention is delivered when required.
